Lassiter Massey Jr., a 64-year-old man from Dunn, North Carolina, was tragically murdered on July 29, 2015. Massey was found shot in the back of his right leg inside his home on East Bay Street. The Dunn Police Department and the State Bureau of Investigation were involved in the investigation. Authorities believe that Massey was shot between midnight and 1 a.m., and his body was discovered just before 9 a.m. when someone went to check on him.
