Mushad Gary, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 17, 2015, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The incident occurred when Mushad was found with a gunshot wound to the head on the front porch of a house on Second Street, a neighborhood not far from Main Street. He was immediately taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
