Kaneesha Nicole Robinson, a 23-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on August 23, 2015, in Kinston, North Carolina. Kaneesha was walking with friends on Hyman Avenue when she was fatally wounded during a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred just before 9:30 PM, and investigators do not believe that Kaneesha was the intended target of the shooting. She was pronounced dead at Lenoir Memorial Hospital later that evening.
