Anthony Tyrone Barbour, a 42-year-old African American male, passed away on September 10, 2015, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the afternoon when police were called to an assault with a deadly weapon on Oregon Street off Brookshire Freeway near Interstate 85. Upon arrival, officers found Anthony Tyrone Barbour suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
