Ervin Kenneth Steward, a 28-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on February 17, 2019, near the Onyx strip club on Minuet Lane in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. during the NBA All-Star Weekend. After the shots were fired, a friend of Ervin drove him a few blocks away from the scene to Seventy Seven Center Drive, where he was later found by the police.
