Akeem Williams, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 27, 2015, in Washington, North Carolina. The incident occurred at the corner of Gladden and 7th Streets, where Williams was shot following an argument with 19-year-old Marquelle Boyd. The altercation between the two men escalated, leading to Boyd shooting Williams. Williams was transported to Vidant Beaufort Hospital with life-threatening injuries but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
