Shomari Kimani Lewis, a 37-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 28, 2016, in Mount Holly, North Carolina. The incident occurred during a party on Lanier Avenue Extension in Gaston County, near Mount Holly. Violence erupted at the gathering, leading to Lewis being shot. Party-goers rushed him to CaroMont Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries from the gunshot wound.
