On the evening of March 2, 2024, at approximately 7:35 p.m., Gaston County Police responded to a reported cardiac arrest at a residence on Lane Road in Mount Holly, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers discovered 38-year-old Juan Luis Correa, a resident of Mint Hill, lying in the yard with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Correa was pronounced dead at the scene.
