Shamond Marquise Green, a 16-year-old boy from Fairmont, NC, tragically lost his life on April 19, 2016. Shamond was found shot to death early in the morning on Manila Street in the Fairmont community of Robeson County. The discovery was made by a passerby who noticed his body just after 1:30 a.m. Shamond's death sent shockwaves through the community, prompting a vigil to be held in his honor on Manilla Street.
