Anthony Bethea, a 41-year-old African American man from Fairmont, North Carolina, was found dead on September 26, 2018. His body was discovered in a ditch on Atkinson Road in the Fairmont community of Robeson County. According to his wife, Glenda Bethea, Anthony was a family man who loved his children and was last seen cooking for his daughter just an hour before his death.
