Jamale King Caple, a 24-year-old African American male, was found dead on May 8, 2016, in a parking lot in East Charlotte, North Carolina. Caple was discovered lying in the parking lot, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medic pronounced him dead at the scene. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department identified Caple as the victim and notified his family of his death.
