Sonya Yvonne Darden, a 49-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on July 15, 2016, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Sonya was found dead at her residence on Wilmington Avenue. The circumstances surrounding her death were both shocking and heartbreaking. According to reports, Sonya's son, Shontionne Darden, was involved in the incident.
