Gerald Gholar, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 4, 2016, in Durham, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning near the South Square shopping center on Westgate Drive. Gerald was found inside a green SUV parked outside a Taco Bell, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite being transported to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
