Tyler Young, a 25-year-old male from Durham, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on November 21, 2022. The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. at a home on Gary Street. Initially, the police arrested Kenneth Dewayne Cates, a 51-year-old man, based on an independent eyewitness identification. However, further investigation revealed that Cates was not the suspect, and he was released from jail within 24 hours of his arrest.
