Ronald Callanan Jr., a 44-year-old man, was fatally shot while sitting in a car near downtown Durham, North Carolina, on January 6, 2020. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Gray Avenue near North Alston Avenue. According to the Durham Police Department, Callanan was sitting in the passenger's seat when two to three individuals approached the vehicle and opened fire.
