Michelle Geniva Morgan, a 47-year-old African American woman, was found dead in her home in High Point, North Carolina, on August 27, 2016. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency workers pronounced her dead at the scene. The police were called to her residence at 1107 Cassell St. around 7:42 p.m. in response to an unknown trouble call. Upon arrival, they discovered her body and detained a suspect who was present at the scene.
