Jason Antiwan Hunt, a 31-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on September 4, 2016, in Red Springs, North Carolina. The incident occurred at a residence on Denny Road, where Hunt had gone with an unidentified woman to retrieve some of her belongings. An altercation ensued involving Hunt, Jonathan Kerry Revels, and Howard Pierce. During the confrontation, Revels shot Hunt, who was the only one injured in the exchange.
