Nika Albana, a 40-year-old woman from Boston, Massachusetts, was tragically shot to death outside Jumpers Nite Life on South Reilly Road in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on November 8, 2016. The incident occurred when she and a man were outside the establishment, and someone fired numerous shots. Nika was rushed to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The investigation into Nika Albana's murder led to the arrest of three suspects.
Robert Jamar Avant, a 25-year-old man from Fayetteville, was charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. He surrendered to authorities in Columbus County and was transferred to the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he remains without bond.
Two other men were also arrested in connection with Nika's death. David Martin, a 45-year-old man from Fayetteville, and Antonia Monroe, a 52-year-old man from Fayetteville, were both charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Notably, David Martin was Nika's fiancé. Both Martin and Monroe are currently held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.
The Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit continues to investigate the case, and they have urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in solving the murder of Nika Albana.
