Alton Ray McKnight, a 37-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 30, 2017, in Kinston, North Carolina. McKnight was shot and killed while sitting in his vehicle on South Tiffany Street. Despite resuscitation efforts from officers, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. McKnight was remembered as a devoted father and a friend to the community, leaving behind six children.
