Juan Monterio Floyd, a 38-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on March 14, 2017, in Gastonia, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early afternoon on Miller Street, near Adams Drive and the Deliverance Christian Center. Emergency workers arrived at the scene around 1:40 p.m. and found Floyd in the front yard of a home. He was immediately taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center for treatment but was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
