Lamar McCoy, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically murdered on June 9, 2022, in Gastonia, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. while Lamar was sitting in his vehicle at a gas station on North Chester Street. Several shots were fired, striking Lamar multiple times.
