On June 8, 2017, Charles Maher, a 66-year-old man from Badin, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred following a heated altercation over a woman. According to reports, Maher was found in the backyard of a home with a gunshot wound to the head. The altercation took place around 8:30 p.m., and Maher was pronounced dead at the scene.
