Craig Bernard, a 43-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 11, 2017, in Greensboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred at approximately 12:29 AM when officers responded to a shooting at 401 Woodlake Drive. Upon arrival, they found Craig Bernard deceased at the scene. His death was ruled a homicide, and the investigation into his murder remains ongoing.
Craig Bernard, originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, was survived by his mother, Nancy Bernard,
his sister, Crystal Bernard, his daughters, Cheyenne Reckly and Sierra Smith, his son, Brieson Reynolds, and his three grandchildren. The funeral services for Craig Bernard were held on August 21, 2017, at Hood Memorial AME Zion Church in Fayetteville, followed by his burial at Lafayette Memorial Park West.
Despite the efforts of law enforcement, no arrests have been made in connection with Craig Bernard's murder. The Greensboro Police Department continues to seek information from the public to help solve this case.
