Cyrus J. Quinn Jr., a 43-year-old language teacher from Waterford, Connecticut, went missing on August 14, 1993, while on an extended vacation in Mallorca, Spain. He had flown out of John F. Kennedy International Airport on June 1, 1993, with plans to stay in Spain for several weeks. He was expected to return home in July but never did.
