Mondrell Walter Leake, also known as Drell, was a 35-year-old African American man who was tragically shot to death on August 22, 2017, in Albemarle, North Carolina. Drell was well-loved in his community and had a large family, including his children, siblings, and many friends. He was born on April 7, 1982, in Stanley County, North Carolina, and was known for his vibrant personality and his involvement in the First Baptist Church in Norwood, North Carolina.
