John Cook, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on October 8, 2017, in Greensboro, North Carolina. John was in Greensboro for the homecoming celebration at North Carolina A&T University. The incident occurred at an off-campus apartment where John was attending a gathering with friends. According to reports, strangers kicked in the door, leading to a fight in the breezeway, which escalated to gunfire. John was shot as he was walking away from the altercation.
