Derek Brown Sr., a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on November 30, 2017, in Greensboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred at his residence on Woodbriar Avenue, where he lived with his partner, Sharease Haley, and their two young children. Both Derek and Sharease were victims of a double homicide, with their children present in the home at the time of the shooting.
