Connie Britton, a 56-year-old woman from Holly-ridge, North Carolina, tragically lost her life on January 1, 2018. She was killed by her son, McKinsey Britton, who also shot and killed her boyfriend, Dowell Gray, 71, in North Topsail Beach. McKinsey Britton later pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the killing of his mother and first-degree murder in the killing of Gray. As part of a plea deal, Britton avoided the death penalty but was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of ...
