Daquan was shot and killed at a QT gas station on Central Avenue during an altercation that turned deadly. On March 21, 2018, police arrested and charged Tyrelle Dai’shon Gaston, also 17 years old, with discharging a weapon into a moving vehicle. The arrest provided some measure of relief to Daquan's grieving family, who had been desperate for answers and justice.
