Shakile Jakeme McLean, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 6, 2018, in Lumberton, North Carolina. His death is being investigated as a homicide. On the day of the incident, deputies were called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Old Tower Road, where they found McLean inside a wrecked vehicle that had left the road and struck a tree.
