Jonathan Armando Garcia, a 16-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on May 25, 2018, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Garcia was a sophomore at Quality Education Academy and had aspirations of enlisting in the Army. On the night of his death, Garcia went out with a friend, and despite his mother's attempts to reach him via text, he did not respond. The events leading to his death unfolded during a drug deal that escalated into a violent confrontation.
