William Charles Simons Jr., a 16-year-old African American male, tragically passed away on November 18, 2018, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was found with a gunshot wound at an apartment on Eltha Drive just after 3 a.m. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
William, affectionately known as "Will," was a student at North Forsyth High School and a former student of Ronald Reagan High School, where he excelled in football and basketball.
He was also employed at KFC on Liberty Street.
