The investigation into Bryant's death was a collaborative effort involving the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the North Carolina State
Bureau of Investigation, and the Andrews Police Department. Authorities quickly identified 17-year-old Jadon Luke Spivey as a suspect in the case. Spivey was arrested the following day and charged with murder. He was held in the Cherokee County Detention Center without bond.
