Christopher Lock, a 29-year-old male from Fayetteville, North Carolina, tragically passed away on December 16, 2018. He was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside an upper-floor unit at an apartment complex on Duggins Way. Lock was rushed to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation revealed that the shooting was not a random act. Lock had been shot by someone he knew.
On December 21, 2018, Bennjamin Wright, a 17-year-old male, was charged with voluntary manslaughter in connection with Lock's death. Wright turned himself in to the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he was held under a $50,000 secured bond.
