Henry Rogers, a 70-year-old man from Rowland, North Carolina, was found shot to death inside his home on Union School Road on January 24, 2019. The investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Skyler Nakota Lowery, who was charged with first-degree murder and discharging a weapon into an occupied property. Lowery, who had previously worked for Rogers during the summer, was acquainted with the victim. He was taken into custody without bond and held at the Robeson County Detention Center.
