Cameron Owens, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically found dead on May 23, 2019, in High Point, North Carolina. Additionally, Iyanna Brown, 26, and Carrie Graves, 27, both from High Point, were charged with first-degree murder. Brown pled guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 20 to 25 years in prison, while Graves also pled guilty to second-degree murder but has not yet been sentenced.
