Tiyquasha Antwonique Simuel, a 24-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot to death on June 12, 2019, in Asheville, North Carolina. The incident occurred at Deaverview Apartments in West Asheville, where up to 30 shots were fired according to 911 call transcripts. Simuel was later found in the Burton Street neighborhood, approximately 2.5 miles away from the initial shooting location. She was transported to Mission Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
