Deaundre Idris Sansbury, a 43-year-old African American male, was found dead in his home in Wilmington, North Carolina, on July 14, 2019. The Wilmington Police Department responded to a call around 11 p.m. that night, discovering Sansbury's body with multiple gunshot wounds to the head. The initial investigation revealed that Sansbury had been shot five times, leading to his untimely death.
