On September 14, 2019, 35-year-old African American man Robin Otto Worth Jr. was fatally shot during an attempted robbery at a residence on Foster Road in Woodleaf, North Carolina. Worth, a resident of Salisbury, was found deceased in the front yard of the home, wearing latex gloves and a black shirt over his face.
