Dorian L. Patterson Sr., a 50-year-old man from Greensboro, North Carolina, was shot and killed on April 25, 2020. Police responded to a call about a gunshot wound on Haywood Street around 11:00 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Patterson suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene before he could be transported to a hospital. Investigators determined that a disturbance had occurred between Patterson and a resident of the home prior to the shooting.
