Shawn Grady, a 50-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 18, 2020, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Grady was shot twice in the stomach during a mid-day shooting on Montgomery Avenue. Despite being rushed to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries, leading to a significant public outcry.
