Brittney Nicole Leftridge, a 31-year-old woman, was found deceased on July 1, 2020, at a residence on Racquet Club Drive near Cashiers, North Carolina. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a gunshot wound and discovered Leftridge's body at the scene. Leftridge, who lived at the residence with Grant Alexander Higgs, had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that Leftridge and Higgs had been living together at the time of the incident.
