Michael Carr, a 44-year-old man from Wilmington, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on July 11, 2020. The incident occurred during a block party in downtown Wilmington, where an altercation broke out between Carr and another individual, William Lamont Slater. According to witnesses, the confrontation escalated, and Slater fatally shot Carr. Before succumbing to his injuries, Carr identified Slater as the shooter.
