Solomon Fleming Jr., a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in southwest Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 1, 2020. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call just before 11 a.m. in the 7000 block of S Tryon Street near the Soho Market. Upon arrival, officers found Solomon Fleming Jr. in the parking lot with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.
