Bobby Earl Lucas, a 56-year-old African American man, was found dead on August 7, 2020, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He had been shot multiple times at the Montecito West apartments along the 4100 block of Bland Road. The police responded to a shooting call around 3:15 a.m. and discovered Lucas's body with multiple gunshot wounds. The scene of the shooting was near an apartment complex close to several restaurants and a grocery store.
