Aaron Jamel Downer, a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 9, 2022, in Raleigh, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of Piedmont Ridge Circle, where police responded to reports of a shooting around 1:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Downer suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
