Marcus Rashad Owens, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on February 18, 2014, at a pool hall on South Saunders Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. The incident occurred shortly before midnight at Bar and Billiards, following a verbal altercation. Owens sustained serious injuries from the shooting and succumbed to his wounds late Friday, February 21, 2014.
