Michael Philip Bibb, a 35-year-old man, was found fatally shot in northeast Charlotte on September 14, 2020. The incident occurred shortly after 4:15 p.m. in the 9100 block of Sandburg Avenue, near the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and University City. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the scene following reports of an armed robbery in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered Michael Philip Bibb with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
