Xavier Nathaniel Gibbs, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on September 15, 2020, at the Laurel Pointe Apartments in Salisbury, North Carolina. The Salisbury Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at around 2:20 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Xavier dead from a gunshot wound. The young victim had spent some time in Salisbury in the past but did not reside at the apartment complex. His connection to the complex remains unclear.
