Dwayne Melvin Coward, a 39-year-old man from Salisbury, NC, tragically died on July 5, 2022, after being shot in the early hours of the morning. The incident occurred around 12:10 to 12:17 a.m. at 121 Oakwood Avenue. When the police and emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found Coward dead from his injuries. The Salisbury Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating the incident as a homicide.
